You should get a flu shot if you are:

  • Age 50 or older
  • Diagnosed with a chronic disease such as diabetes, heart or lung disease, liver or kidney disease, cancer, HIV, sickle cell anemia, or any other form of immunosuppression
  • In close contact with others who have the above conditions, e.g. health care worker, teacher, day care provider, police officer, or live with a high-risk person
  • An adult in a chronic care facility
  • Pregnant and in your second or third trimester during the flu season.
Cost:
  • Free with Augmented Services Plan
  • $7.00 for registered CSUS Students

    To reduce your risk of getting the flu, you should:

    • Wash your hands frequently
    • Keep up your resistance to infection with a healthy diet, plenty of rest, and regular exercise
    • Avoid large crowds during flu season, if possible
