- Age 50 or older
- Diagnosed with a chronic disease such as diabetes, heart or lung disease,
liver or kidney disease, cancer, HIV, sickle cell anemia, or any other
form of immunosuppression
- In close contact with others who have the above conditions, e.g. health
care worker, teacher, day care provider, police officer, or live with a
high-risk person
- An adult in a chronic care facility
- Pregnant and in your second or third trimester during the flu season.

- Wash your hands frequently
- Keep up your resistance to infection with a healthy diet, plenty of rest, and
regular exercise
- Avoid large crowds during flu season, if possible
