Advance Pay
By requesting Advance Pay, you will receive your first two months of payments in advance and will not receive further benefits until the end of the fourth (4) month after school starts. Benefits are normally paid at the end of the month for the preceding month. Checks are mailed to the Sacramento State Office of Veterans Affairs, including those for veterans who have signed up for direct deposit.
You may apply for advance payment of educational benefits before the start of the term if you are enrolled at least half time (6 units), and if you are not entitled to receive break pay between terms. This must be done at least 45 days prior to the start of classes but not more than 120 days in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: This request form must be submitted with your Veteran Information Card in order for your request to be processed.
