Entry Level Mathematics-English Placement (ELM / EPT)
The CSU system requires non-exempt, admitted undergraduate students entering fall 1998 and after to take the ELM/EPT examinations prior to registering for classes. If the results of these test indicate that the student needs to register for a remedial course(s) in either mathematics or English, the student must take and pass the course(s) within their first year. After two semesters no student will be allowed to register or continue attending classes at Sacramento State, if remedial courses are not successfully completed.
Applicants are encouraged to take the appropriate tests on the earliest date possible. To register, contact the Testing Office.
